Bosnia–Herzegovina Ministry of civil engineering and physical planning


Herzegovina-Neretva County (HNC) covers an area of about 4,500 square kilometers, of Makljen to Ivan-sedlo on the north and to Ivanjica above Dubrovnik in the south. The County is organized into eight municipalities: Capljina, Citluk, Jablanica, Konjic, Neum, Prozor-Rama, Ravno, City of Mostar and Stolac. In these areas live about 270,000 inhabitants. HNC is a special feature of the area to its mountainous, lowland, coastal and mainland diversity by linking the unique beauty of the territory formed through picturesque glades and hills, lowland area along the Neretva River, together with its tributaries (Rama, Trebizat, Krupa, Bregava), coastal belt and the Adriatic Sea. In the central part of the county is the city of Mostar, which covers 1227 square kilometers, representing the political, economic, scientific and cultural center of the entire region. Located at the foot of the slopes of the mountains Velez, Hum and Cabulja in the valley of the Neretva River at the altitude of 60-80 meters. Mostar has been for centuries at the crossroads of different civilizations, each build into the city part of its uniqueness. The sea is 60 km away; in the City and its immediate vicinity are the famous historical monuments of which the most ancient part of the town is located by the UNESCO-protected monument, the Old Bridge. The City has a complete infrastructure, road and rail traffic moving from north to south, and a modern airport. He is also the economic center of the entire BH. In recent history, the most important economic entity in the Mostar region, the aluminum company, which has made steady progress in its production.
In 1981. The Medjugorje has become a pilgrimage site that brings together Catholics and members of other religious groups from around the world. Following the interest of pilgrims visiting Medjugorje is building large tourist facilities that meet the needs of modern man. Northern area of the County, municipalities Prozor-Rama, Konjic and Jablanica, spreads over 1948 square kilometers with altitude 200-1500 meters. This area is rich in agricultural land (73,791 ha) of which 81% of the meadows and pastures.
This area also offers two hydroelectric reservoirs - and Rama Jablanica lake and flows through the Rama, Doljanka, meals and other small river, which is a huge water capacity which is currently only partially used for the cultivation of fish for consumption. The southern part of the county includes the municipality’s Capljina, Citluk, Stolac, Ravno and Neum, and covers an area of 1648 square kilometers. This is part of the county is especially suitable for growing healthy food because of their natural resources and enables the development of such activities, now in high demand in the world. Particularly, the well known wine produced on poor fields of Mediterranean karst. According to ancient records the first mention of Herzegovinian wines is found in medieval Bosnian King Tvrtko, issued 1354th year. The French and Venetian 16th travelers and 17 Century also write about the expensive, but good wines from the Neretva. Today in this area registered 40 wineries that are in the market generally appear with three products: white wine - žilavka, red wine - blatina and spirits - the vine.
Herzegovina-Neretva County has two nature parks famous for its beauty: Hutovo mud and Blidinje. The composition of Hutovo mud entering four lakes: Deransko, Jelinska, Svitavsko and Škrkino which connects the river Krupa. Krupa is the only river in the world that runs bi-directional. The unspoiled nature, there are about 240 species of birds along with other large and small animals. In the northern area of the county is located in Park Blidinje whose area is 600 square kilometers. It stretches over parts of three counties: Herzegovina-Neretva, West Herzegovina and Herzeg-bosnian Canton, and is known for its endemic species of forest trees and flowers. Neum is the only Bosnian-Herzegovinian outlet to the sea with 24 km of beautiful coastline and is a tourist town with great facilities at the hotel and private accommodation.

3. Regulation of local land use, including zoning
4. Monitoring in construction operative
5. Housing and municipal economy
6. Making housing policy, including regulation of the editing and construction of residential buildings
7. Reconstruction of housing and communal economy
8. Maintenance of residential buildings and dwellings on the right to use a Region
9. Conclusion of the economic and financial agreements with other counties with the approval of the Ministry of Finance and the Government of the County
10. Determining requirements for works in protected natural areas
11. Computerization of operations space and environment
12. Conception of scientific research relevant to physical and social development of the County
13. Drafting laws and other regulations in your area
14. Deciding in second instance administrative procedure for appeals in its field
15. Inspections in all areas of the field
16. Performs other tasks assigned under their authority.

In the Ministry of Construction and Planning and the Department of Planning and Environmental Protection, whose mission is:

1. Planning, programming, design, use, evaluation and protection of areas and measures for their realization
2. Production of planning and urban development and technical documentation, except for transactions that are made within the scope of the law of the Federation and municipalities
3.Making the county physical plan
4. Preparation of construction land

performs other duties in accordance with the law.
